- It has no odour, colour or taste and so can not be detected by humans.
- It can only be measured using a specialised, but easy-to-use, test kit.
Radon Causes Lung Cancer
- When breathed into the lungs this radioactive gas damages lung tissues.
- This can lead to lung cancer.
- Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking.
- The World Health Organisation classified Radon a Class 1 carcinogen.
It's easy to test & easy to fix
- We can post an accredited easy-to-use home test kit for only €80.
- Employers should refer to our Radon in Workplaces page.
- After 3 months you post the kit back & we check it & send you the results.
- If you have high radon concentrations then it is usually easy to fix.
- Typically, we fix a domestic house for less than €2,000
